Camping: is available on-site and monies are payable to the Moose Jaw Exhibition.

Stabling: There are limited outdoor paddocks for $10 per day by the Gomersall Arena and indoor stalls for a fee of $20 per day Bring your own shavings/straw if planning to use an indoor stall

You will be able to purchase your CRRA membership at the ropings. Cost of individual membership is $25. Families membership is now $25.00 ea. for the first two family members and $5.00 for each additional individual family member. Additional family members are persons who reside in the same household and are a minor in the year the membership is being taken out. Ex: the cost of membership for two parents and one child will amount to $55.00

Insurance waiver is required to be signed at your first roping of the year.

This is an excellent group of instructors for you to learn from. They have many years of working with horses, stock, pasture and are all skillful ropers.

May 31 to June 2, 2024

May 31 Friday start time is 1 pm

June 1 & 2  Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 5 pm.

In this 2 1/2 day clinic, you will learn to prepare your horse and yourself for ranch duties, cattle handling and ranch roping which are required to be an effective ranch hand on your own land or working for others. Included in the clinic will be reviewing your horsemanship skills, safety issues when working with cattle and learning practical loops and a few fancy loops for a ranch roping competition! In the evenings there will be dummy roping for extra practise.

All levels of experience are welcome!

Deadline for entries is Friday May 17, 2024

$400 per person with a $100 deposit to guarantee your place in the clinic. If you are interested please let Theresa Millar know as soon as possible!

Entry forms have been emailed to all current 2023 members of the CRRA. See also Facebook under “files”.

Mail entry form and cheque to CRRA @ F16 – 1 Prairie Oasis Trailer Court, Moose Jaw, Sask. S6J 1C6

Cheques can be made payable to CRRA or Etransfer to canadianranchroping@gmail.com

If you are paying by Etransfer please email your entry forms to canadianranchroping@gmail.com at the same time as your etransfer. Money must be sent same time as the entry form.

DEADLINE for entry form is Sunday, September 3, 2022. Late entries will not be accepted.

Saturday roping begins at 9:00 AM. Please check in at the registration area when you arrive on Friday. Your supper tickets and programs will be available on Friday for pick up.

It will be an All Draw format and you will need to qualify for the 2023 Finals by participating in two ropings in the 2023 season. For example, if you attended a 2 day roping and participate in both days that would be your two ropings as each day is considered a separate roping. If you attended one day of a two-day roping at two different times that would be your two ropings

Stalls are $20 per horse per night on the grounds. No trailer tie. Shavings are NOT supplied.

There will be a supper Saturday night cost is $25 per adult, $10 for children 12 years and younger.

Draw Ins - if you are interested in being eligible for a draw in, in case of injury etc there is an option on the entry form to complete. Fees will apply if chosen. (Please note you will be chosen by a random draw of those who have asked to be eligible)

There will be a KIDS dummy roping during the Finals Saturday afternoon after the day’s roping is finished. Please enter your children in advance so we have appropriate prizes. Age categories are 0 to 6 and 7 to 12.

This is an excellent group of instructors for you to learn from. They have many years of working with horses, stock, pasture and all are skillful ropers.

Friday start time is 1 PM

Saturday and Sunday 9 AM to 5 PM

In this 2 1/2 day clinic, you will learn to prepare your horse and yourself for ranch duties, cattle handling, and ranch roping which are all required to be an effective ranch hand on your own land or working for others. Included in the clinic will be reviewing your horsemanship skills, safety issues when working with cattle, and learning practical loops and a few fancy loops for ranch roping competitions! In the evenings there will be dummy roping for extra practice.

All levels of experience are welcome!

2022 Annual General Meeting

The Canadian Ranch Roping Association will be holding their ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING on Saturday January 21, 2023 beginning right after the end of the January 21, 2023 Waitin’ for Spring Ranch Roping.

We will do our best to finish the meeting in a timely fashion.

It will be held at the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds in the Corral Room in the Golden Mile Arena.

You must be a current member and in attendance to vote. Memberships can be purchased upon registration at the January 21, 2023 roping. If you wish to buy a membership prior to the roping send an email to canadianranchroping@gmail.com and a form will be sent to you. Cost of membership is $25.

Entry forms have been emailed to all current 2022 members of the CRRA. See also Facebook under “files”.

Mail entry form and cheque to CRRA @ Box 82, Hazenmore, Sask. S0N1C0 Cheques can be made payable to CRRA or etransfer to canadianranchroping@gmail.com

You can also email entry forms to canadianranchroping@gmail.com Along with your etransfer. Money must be sent same time as entry form.

DEADLINE for entry form is Friday, September 2, 2022. Late entries will not be accepted.

Saturday roping begins at 9:00 AM. Please check in at the registration area when you arrive on Friday.

It will be an All Draw format like our Ranch Ropers Roundup in 2021 but you will need to qualify by participating in two ropings in the 2022 season. For example if you attend a 2 day roping and participate in both days that would be your two ropings as each day is considered a seperate roping. If you attend one day of a two day roping at two different times that would be your two ropings

Stalls are $20 per horse per night on the grounds. No trailer tie. Shavings are NOT supplied.

There will be a supper Saturday night cost is $20 per adult, $10 for children 9 to 12 years, and $5 for 8 and under.

Draw Ins - if you are interested in being eligible for a draw in, in case of injury etc there is an option on the entry form to complete. Fees will apply if chosen. (Please note you will be chosen by a random draw of those who have asked to be eligible)

There will be a KIDS dummy roping during the Finals. Please enter your children in advance so we have appropriate prizes. Age categories are 0 to 6 and 7 to 12.

Ranch Ropers Roundup

The CRRA is celebrating our current and past members in 2021 by holding this ranch roping which embodies all that we strive to achieve in our Horsemanship, Stockmanship and Community. We hope that by entering this roping you experience the camaraderie of friends and the ranch roping community past and present. Have fun, stay safe and come join us at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan at the Golden Mile Arena, Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds. Let’s Rope!

The DEADLINE for REGISTRATION is August 27, 2021 - No late entries will be accepted.

You must be a current or previous member of the Canadian Ranch Roping Association to rope in the Ranch Ropers Roundup.

A CRRA membership is required to enter this event.

A Sask Horse Federation membership (or equivalent provincial membership) is required to enter this event. Please go to www.Saskhorse.ca to purchase your SHF membership on line and indicate your new number on the entry form. The Ranch Roping Roundup is an ALL DRAW event.

OPEN

Fee is $60 for each team you are on up to a maximum of 4 draw ins.

NOVICE

Fee is $80 for 2 draw ins.

There will be dummy roping for children attending the Ranch Ropers Roundup with their parents who are entered. Date and time to be announced at a later date.

Stalls will be available for $20 per horse per night on the grounds. No trailer tie.

There will be a supper for competitors and their families Saturday night Sept 11 after the days roping. Tickets: Adult is $18 per person, Children 8 to 12 is $9 per child, 7 to 5 years is $5 per child and under 5 years $3 per child.

CRRA membership is $25 for an individual and $50 for a family plus $5 for each family member. Please remember to send in your form with your entry form.

Camping is available on site and monies are payable to the Moose Jaw Exhibition.

Location: Lancer Rodeo Arena @ Lancer, Sask.

Directions: Go through Lancer and at first turn outside town, turn left, (sign for RR 3215) drive 6 miles south to Lancer Rodeo Arena with the big red building.

Food: There will be a concession at the Arenda all weekend with a beef supper Saturday night at 5:00pm. There are no restaurants in Lancer.
